BLACK WATER:
This cache is named after the new Train song "I got you" that features elements of the Doobie Brothers 1974 chart-topper Black Water. I have always loved the original.....I still have my 45 record version from the 70's. I really think Train did a great job sampling parts of this song in their new hit. Worth listening to!
This cache is located along Mud Creek in Mertensia Park behind the tennis courts. There is a path to the left of the tennis courts that leads to the area you seek. My boys enjoy bridge jumping from this spot which initially made me extremely nervous, but now I have gotten used to it. They have come here many times in the nice weather to cool off and have the thrill of plunging in from above. Apparently when the town of Farmington was young this area was a favorite swimming spot for many of the town's youth.
You are searching for a winter accessible cache that can hold a little swag and small trackables. There is a FTF pathtag for the "First to Find" that I won as a raffle prize at a Mega event I attended in NJ.
