This is a great place for everyone to post their goals. If you post your goals here as a note, we will add it to the GEOCACHING TIME CAPSULE. You can also come back and post once you achieve your goal.
This event is to celebrate 15 years of geocaching.

On May 2, 2000, at approximately midnight, eastern savings time, the great blue switch* controlling selective availability was pressed. Twenty-four satellites around the globe processed their new orders, and instantly the accuracy of GPS technology improved tenfold. Tens of thousands of GPS receivers around the world had an instant upgrade.
For GPS enthusiasts, this was definitely a cause for celebration. Internet newsgroups suddenly teemed with ideas about how the technology could be used.
On May 3, one such enthusiast, Dave Ulmer, a computer consultant, wanted to test the accuracy by hiding a navigational target in the woods. He called the idea the "Great American GPS Stash Hunt" and posted it in an internet GPS users' group. The idea was simple: Hide a container out in the woods and note the coordinates with a GPS unit.
The finder would then have to locate the container with only the use of his or her GPS receiver. The rules for the finder were simple: "Take some stuff, leave some stuff."
On May 3rd he placed his own container, a black bucket, in the woods near Beavercreek, Oregon, near Portland. Along with a logbook and pencil, he left various prize items including videos, books, software, and a slingshot. He shared the waypoint of his "stash" with the online community and geocaching was born.
This event will be at the Loveland Sport's Park from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
What better day to gather together and talk about each of our adventures from the last year and set goals for the next? We will be bringing the time capsule. Many of you put your goals inside and we will see how many of us achieved our goals.
For those who didn't get a chance to put their goals in last year, this will be your chance. We can all put our goals in again and see where we are on next year's on geocaching anniversary.
This is potluck style event. Bring whatever food you like and want to share. There will be coins, prizes and a special souvenir and geocoin available in conjunction with this event.
Bad news: The coins will not be here in time. We will still take pre-orders and will work with whoever wants them to get them to you if you are interested.
As we have mentioned, we will be opening the Geocaching Time Capsule at the event. Cachers will have an opportunity to say whether they achieved their goals for the year. If you did we will all congratulate you. Don't worry if you didn't. We set two goals. One was to fill in the 366 days of the calendar. We accomplished that one. Our big goal was to complete the Jasmer Challenge. Did we do it? Nope. We will most likely put that back in the time capsule for next year. Which brings us to the next part of the event. Everyone is invited to pu their goals in the time capsule for next year. The gaol can be anything you like from finding your 1 Millionth geocache to finally putting out a Wherigo. Your goal is whatever you want it to be. Shortly after the event will will close the time capsule. It will not be opened again until the next anniversary of geocaching.
