One Tree Hill- Picnic Grounds Traditional Cache

This cache was inspired by Maccamob's 'Boom de Ay' cache, and I realised One Tree Hill could support more caches. This picnic ground, is overlooked by tourists, in favour of the car-park at the top of the hill. I have seen this area used by locals to exercise their dogs, although I come here more often to eat pizza or fish-n-chips and to avoid the traffic up on top. This is a quiet area, tucked out of the way.

Several times throughout the year, Ararat Car Clubs holds rallies up the hill, and they close it off for weekends, I suggest you check with the council for these dates- they change due to weather and other factors.

You can park at the base of One Tree Hill, or the top (near the rotunda) or look for other parking opportunities.

The cache is a a short walk (hike) away from the picnic area. The terrain was hard to rate, but I reccommend sturdy footwear, a walking stick and a backpack (to keep your arms free). Choose your own path, experince tells me, a path that is easy for me, is not easy for others. There is no set path to this cache. This cache is not a race, take your time, and enjoy the time you spend here.

This cache is a 1 litre screw top jar, with a log book, pen and enough room for a few small swaps. A special prize for the FTF.

Watch out for snakes, kangaroos and other wildlife, esp muggles.
