Geocache Description:

This geocache is place where you leave the Strontian Community woodland and start on the Fairy road.  Strontian means the knoll of the Fairies and as you walk along the Fairy road you will pass an area of Caledonian pines - The Fairy Knoll.  This is a fabulous track that takes you along the hillside and joins in with the National Nature Reserve of Ariundle.

This is a family and doggie friendly cache.  Parking can be found in the village centre at the Tourist office (or at Ariundle if coming that way and up a steep hill).

We have named all our caches after dogs as the Hairy Spangle (spaniel) is an important if completely useless member of our team.

Thank you to Gumboots and Krosses Krazy for helping to re-instate this geocache when its original home was destroyed.
