LE TENON DE GILLES

Sur des sites psammophiles situés en arrière des formations à hélophytes, on peut rencontrer corrigiole des rivages et astragale pois-chiche, extrêmement rare sur tout le bas Rhône et récemment retrouvée. À Lapalud se maintient sans doute encore l'inule britannique. Des fragments de ripisylves médio-européennes âgées sont particulièrement bien représentées au Tenon de Gilles avec des formations à chêne pédonculé. Elles abritent un contingent important d'espèces rares ou étrangères à la région méditerranéenne, mais qui sont banales plus au nord.
