The cache you seek is NOT at the coordinates listed here, BUT you can park there. In order to find the cache. You will need to answer a question about each piece of art in order to determine the coordinates of the final waypoint. All the questions are multiple choice; choose the answer you think is correct, then record the number that follows it in parentheses. For example, if you choose "Spot (3)" as your answer to Question A, you would replace A in the final waypoint with "3".
The spirit of the cache is a downtown art walk. As such, it was designed to be walked. Depending on how efficient you are, the walk is approximately 1.0 miles. Depending on how much time you spend to admire the art, plan for about 30 - 45 minutes. (That being said, this could be a bicycling cache as well. THAT would also be exciting!!!)
Convenient public parking is available at 166 W Phoenix or in the Flagstaff Visitor Center Parking lot on US 180 and San Francisco Ave.
A word of warning - Art does change quite often in this happening town, so if you show up in the location and there's nothing resembling the question asked, send me a picture....could be that new art has grown in its place!
Now that you have taken a nice stroll through downtown Flagstaff and enjoyed some of the urban art, see how well you answered each of the questions. BUT there's a catch. The great part of this cache is that it gets to explore historic downtown Flagstaff, the bad part is that is has been very hard to keep the geocache containers from being stolen or lost. So I'm going to make this a virtual cache , until I can find a solution to the container theft.
FINAL DESTINATION
Let's see how well you answered the questions about Flagstaff Southside Art. Insert the correct digits below:
N35 1A.BCD, W111 3E.FGH
Since this is a VIRTUAL GEOCACHE, there is no physical container to find. However, if you have successfully answered all the questions, you should now be in a very unique location.
Since you are in Flagstaff, you should know some of the names for route Route 66. If you are standing in front a wall featuring another name for Route 66 - then you have solved this geocache correctly. The second part of the name makes it fairly obvious of the nature of this business. (The pizza is also very good!)
If that doesn't make any sense - you've solved the geocache incorrectly and you may want to recheck your answers.
And there's no need to message the Cache Owner for confirmation. The answer should be obvious!
If you enjoyed this cache, try some of the other "Culture Caches" as well!
