Geocache Description:

SIR LANNIE AT SIXTY !!!

This series of caches has been placed to celebrate Sir Lannie reaching the milestone age of sixty. In those sixty years he has had numerous interests and pastimes. He has, or still is, a radio ham, a cyclist, an astronomer, a golfer, a magician, a caravanner, a fisherman, a DJ and finally a geocacher.

This cache relates to Sir Lannie as an Astronomer. This is one of the hobbies few know about as it’s usually done in the dark of night, and often in Winter when its very cold.

In April 2012 we attended the “Star-Gazing and Satellites” (GC3DTNK) event at Llay in North Wales. Once dark, we went out into the nearby country park. We both looked at several stars, constellations and nebulae though a telescope but most impressive sight by far was Saturn. Its rings were visible just as I’d seen in books over the years.

Ensure you note down the code on the logsheet as you will need it to find the final cache, “Sir Lannie – The Geocacher”
