Geocache Description:

SIR LANNIE AT SIXTY !!!

This series of caches has been placed to celebrate Sir Lannie reaching the milestone age of sixty. In those sixty years he has had numerous interests and pastimes. He has, or still is, a radio ham, a cyclist, an astronomer, a golfer, a magician, a caravanner, a fisherman, a DJ and finally a geocacher.

This cache relates to Sir Lannie as a Caravanner. He has had a caravan for many years and has used it for his various hobbies. When a Radio Ham he took it to the top of Cyrn-Y-Brain near the Ponderosa café above Llangollen. Anyone who has found a cache up there, “Penblwydd Osian” (GC1NZ9T) or “Geo's Cache” (GCKHTB) will know how steep it is walking, never mind towing a caravan!

More recently the caravan has been used for geocaching. It went to the UK Mega events in Cartmel, Gaydon and Ayr, plus Piratemania Megas in Stratford on Avon and Cartmel. Once its awning has been erected it becomes a focal point for socialising on an evening and having a drink or two!

Ensure you note down the code on the logsheet as you will need it to find the final cache, “Sir Lannie – The Geocacher”
