Geocache Description:

SIR LANNIE AT SIXTY !!!

This series of caches has been placed to celebrate Sir Lannie reaching the milestone age of sixty. In those sixty years he has had numerous interests and pastimes. He has, or still is, a radio ham, a cyclist, an astronomer, a golfer, a magician, a caravanner, a fisherman, a DJ and finally a geocacher.

This cache relates to Sir Lannie as a DJ. He has done this for many years from the days when you had boxes of vinyl, up to the current day where everything is done via a laptop. “DJ P” as he is known has run many discos for geocachers, especially at events held at the Cheshire Cat near Chester, and the Bryntirion Inn near Bala.

One of his funniest experiences was at a meal for the elderly. He played all the old songs, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, but the dance floor remained empty. Eventually an elderly gentleman came up with a request “Have you got Black Betty by Ram Jam?” The dance floor was busy for the rest of the evening!

Ensure you note down the code on the logsheet as you will need it to find the final cache, “Sir Lannie – The Geocacher”
