[ENG] Urissaare (Urisara), is first mentioned year 1584. In history book you can read: „Here, among the forests and swamps arose anciently habitations, here came the people who escaped from wars and landlords insulting. Agriculture and forestry have been the most important source of subsistence for many generations here. There were a schoolhouse, shops, church, cemetery, library and culture house here. Today there are preserved only the church and cemetery. The church is officially named St John the Baptist’s Orthodox Church in Laiksaare, but after it’s situation, in publik it’s known as Urissaare Church. The church was built up during the Estonian independence time year 1924. In rectorys priest’s house has been a Laiksaare state owned scoolhouse in 1911-1918 and in 1918-1938 the Pändi grade school. Later on, there has been a foresters centrum of Urissaare. The cache is hidden between the church and priest’s house area.
[EST] Urissaare (Urisara) on esmamainitud 1584 aastal. Ajalooraamatust loeme: „Siia soode ja metsade vahelistele laikudele rajasid muiste varjatud eluasemeid põgenikud, sõja- ja mõisahirmu eest pelgu pugenud inimesed. Küla küla järgi kerkis põlisesse metsa ". Metsandus ja põllumajandus ongi olnud paljude põlvkondade jooksul siinse piirkonna peamisteks elatusallikateks. Urissaares anti kooliharidust, siin oli rahvamaja, poed, kirik ja kalmistu. Tänaseks on säilinud kirik ja kalmistu. Ametlikult on kiriku nimeks EAÕK Laiksaare Ristija Johannese kirik, kuid asukoha tõttu teatakse seda 1924. aastal valminud puidust pühakoda rahva hulgas Urissaare kirikuna. Kirikumõisa preestrimajas töötas aastatel 1911–1918 Laiksaare ministeeriumikool ja 1918–1938 Pändi algkool. 20nda sajandi teisel poolel asus selles hoones Urissaare metskonnakeskus. Aare on peidetud kiriku ja kirikumõisa vahelisele alale.
