A short hike down an abandoned section of the Reading Ave road bed.
Cache can be accessed from the parking at the waypoint found on the page to the north of the cache or from the Hill-Jo Bike path for those biking through the area.
Before the days of the current configuration of M-99, Reading Ave served as a main route between Jonesville and Reading, while Beck Rd was the primary route into Hillsdale. Reading Ave was first chopped off to the south of here connecting to Lake Wilson Rd. The road bed is only visible by a portion of the old tree-lined road. Later to the north of here, it was re-routed to make safer intersections with M-99. Then the southern intersection was eliminated forming the current cul-de-sac. Finally in the mid-2000s, this section was abandoned.
