Start your journey at the boat landing and picnic area parking lot. The trailhead is marked by a sign across the lot between the bathrooms. From here it is a short, steep and lung burning climb to the top of the bluff and the overlook. It is well worth it though as the view is beautiful and quite substantial. 2 benches adorn the site to encourage the cache finder to sit a spell, peruse the cache and enjoy the view before heading back down.
Nugget Lake Co. Park features a 55 unit campground, several miles of hiking trails, a fishing pier, picnic area, sledding hill and boat and kayak rentals.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Martin Engel of the Wisconsin DNR, land manager of the Plum Creek Watershed. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
