Geocache Description:

This is a series of 8 caches based on the Harry Potter series by J K Rowling.  Seekers should visit seven traditional caches found at places in each of the books to locate the final mystery cache: "Harry Potter: Anyone seen Trevor?".  You will need to collect the code numbers from 6 caches and a clue from the 7th cache. Tweezers and a pen are required for some of the micro caches.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

A whomping willow is a violent species of magical plant which will attack anything that comes into reach of its branches.

Towards the end of Harry's third year at Hogwarts, Sirius Black, in his form of a large black dog, drags Ron, together with his rat Scabbers, into the secret passage beneath the Willow leading to Hogsmeade's Shrieking Shack.

"The wand-light showed him the trunk of a thick tree; they had chased Scabbers into the shadow of the Whomping Willow and its branches were creaking as though in a high wind, whipping backwards and forwards to stop them going nearer." J K Rowling

You will need to face the Whomping Willow to find this cache (although, like in the film, you will notice it is not actually a willow!).  Be warned that there may be muggles in this area.

Cache placed with the kind permission of DEFA.
