Matthew Henson was the first African American Arctic Explorer, which kind of makes him like a geocacher in the winter climates here. The park named after him is a greenway along the Turkey Branch of Rock Creek. The park runs from Aspen Hill to Layhill, Maryland, linking the Rock Creek Trail with the Sligo Creek Trail.
This cache container was given to me at an event a while ago. It blends in with its surroundings, so when you find it, please hide it as well or better than when you found it. Hiding it in an inconspicuous way gives the next cacher the same experience. You may need an extractor tool for this one.
