Matthew Henson was the first African American Arctic Explorer, which kind of makes him like a geocacher in the winter climates here. The park named after him is a greenway along the Turkey Branch of Rock Creek. The park runs from Aspen Hill to Layhill, Maryland, linking the Rock Creek Trail with the Sligo Creek Trail.
If you didn't know, I am a HUGE Orioles fan. You will normally find me on the trail wearing one of my many Orioles hats, and often times one of my Orioles shirts.
