Geocache Description:

Access via Kahlotus Highway then right on Martindale Road to the river. Road is passable to all medium clearance vehicles - just take it slow. Watch for snakes during the warm summer months.

Martindale is the last railroad siding that still exists. The line east of Ainsworth Jct. is only used for rail car storage past the fuel oil storage tanks to the west. The rail spur only runs up to Ice Harbor Dam and ends there. The rest of the line to east of Cheney has been removed and the right of way turned over to Washington State Parks for use as a multi use trail.
