Geocache Description:

Sylvester Cemetery is located in Fisher County and is  typical rural pioneer cemetery, established in 1907, with a fence enclosure and pipe gateway identifying the name of the cemetery. Located in north central Texas it is like many rural cemeteries with the old style grave markers. This cemetery has a kiosk identifying where the deceased are buried.

This cache is another cemetery cache placed by this cacher located in the Fisher ,Taylor, Nolan , Mitchell, Scurry and Coke counties of North Central Texas.  It is also the location where a Boy Scout Eagle Scout project was worked on and completed.  This is a series of caches called, " Cache to Eagle", located in the local area.  This project included marking the rows throughout the cemetery and building the kiosk at the north side of the cemetery. The bulletin board identifies where all the deceased are buried with their names and plots located  on the board.  Many hours and boys were involved in this project.  It would be nice for all cemeteries to have a structure like this to help all who visited the cemeteries. The cache container is a mini ammo container with a log only.  Please bring a pen/pencil to sign log.  Please respect the departed while entering and leaving the area and close gate when leaving as well.  Enjoy!!
