The first object has lots of verbal history. There are stories of mysterious notes; of the sound of dualing banjos; of art conversations; of bobbers caught in trees; and a fiery end to the original. There is also a memorial placed by local residents in honor of an old gentleman who fished there for many years.
The second object sneaks up on you and may be used more by animals than humans.
Same purpose, some similiar materials, but very different. Both will sing to you in the right conditions.
The coodinates will take you to the first object. Near the center of the east side, is the memorial mentioned above. It contains 8 numbers and 3 letters. There is only one on this object, and the letters are DFW.
After reflecting on this memorial and its meaning, ignore the letters, and assign the 6 unique numbers to the first 6 letters of the alphabet (A-F) in the order they appear on the memorial (left to right; top row first).
Use the following forumulas to get the next four letter assignments:
- G = C + A
- H = B - A
- I = C + E
- J = C - A
Once you have A-J assigned to numbers, substitute them into the following to get the latitude and longitude of the final cache location:
North EB GH.BHH West BI JI.DGD
to check your math, add all the individual digits of the latitude and the longitude together; the answer is 92.
Now plug this into you gps or phone, and go get that smiley!
Tips:
W96 is the same as -096.
