Geocache Description:

Welcome to Bayfront Park!

Previously a night club and "seedy" hangout area, Bayfront Park was purchased by the City of Daphne in 1996 and developed into a city park for the community to enjoy. The elevated "Honky Tonk" was renovated and opened as a hall which is frequently used for weddings, parties, receptions, & business meetings.

Some of the most amazing sunsets can be seen from the fishing pier, which also serves as an observation deck to spot the occasional gator, blue heron or pelican.

Bring extra time with you to stroll the boardwalk that connects the park to a beach along Mobile Bay as well as Village Point Park Preserve, the largest park in Daphne which was once referred to as Jackson Oak Park. Explore this estuary for wildlife as well as local and civil war history. The historic D'olive family cemetery, Jackson's Oak and a few more elusive caches are also located in The Village.

You are searching for a log only cache, so BYOP.
