Ammo Stump Mk II Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Red Roo: A change in direction causes me to rethink what the guidelines for cache placement should be. Guidelines are rules and there must be some rules to guide new Geocachers, but the guidelines that GC have published are not what are being used by reviewers and with them calling their own personal shots I'm not prepared to continue in the same manner. All of my caches will be archived once I have removed them. This cache is gone. Thanks to all who have visited.

Geocache Description:

This cache replaces 'Ammo Stump' which was archived earlier today. This cache has access from both directions and I think it unlikely that this track will be closed. Please be careful when exiting or entering the highway for this cache - the speed limit here is 110kmh and there are lots of heavy haulage trucks on the road.

The track in off the highway can be accessed from both directions and should be 2WD accessible if small vehicles take it easy. Low-slung vehicles may be better off to come in from the Southern entry. The track runs 20-30 mtrs to the west of and parallel to Albany Highway, and the cache site is approx 40 mtrs west of the track. The cache is a small ammo box with a few goodies remaining from it's previous location. While there are no picnic facilities you could easily stop here for lunch or even overnight - so long as you could put up with the road noise. Children should be monitored here - there is a reasonably steep slope down to the highway about 15-20 mtrs to the east of the track.
