Geocache Description:

On May 3, 2000 Dave Ulmer placed a container at N 45° 17.460 W 122° 24.800 and started what he called "Great American GPS Stash Hunt". On September 2 Goecaching.com was launched with 75 known caches (stashes) around the world (Geocaching History). The objective of this challenge is to set off to find some of the geocaches that were hidden during the third calendar year of geocaching.

This is my third oldies Challenge Cache. 8 from 2000 Challenge! (GC5BRWX) asks that you find 8 Geocaches that were hidden in the year 2000, equivalent to finding half of the 2000 geocaches that still exist in California. 18 from 2001 Challenge! (GC5KTPN) asks you to find at least 18 Geocaches that were hidden in the year 2001 including 2 finds in 6 of the months. This challenge asks you to find some of the the rare but still more plentiful geocaches that were hidden in 2002. As of the publication date of this cache, there are 141 geocaches from 2002 hidden within 60 miles of Davis and 317 geocaches from 2002 hidden within 100 miles of Davis. Your goal will be to find a bunch of these. There are still 4 different geocache types hidden within these radii so part of the challenge will be to find at least 4 different geocache types.

Here are the requirements to log a find:
1) Find at least 28 geocaches that were hidden in 2002
2)  Geocaches must have the original GC code. That means that the GC codes should be something like GC3xx-GCBxxx
3) There must be at least 2 finds from every month of 2002
4) There must be at least 4 different geocache types represented
5)  List your 28 finds including a) cache name b) GC code c) geocache type d) date hidden and e) date found.
6) You may sign the log at any time but must wait until you find all 28 caches before recording your find.
