PASIR RIS CENTRAL!
Welcome to Pasir Ris, one of the farthest corners of Singapore residential yet relatively beautiful in all its nature.
This cache takes up residency amidst a very metropolitan area. It sits almost directly on top of the Tampines River.
There is a Park Connector that literally leads all the way to Tampines. Many keen joggers, fishermen, cyclist, dog walkers, senior citizens and even vehicles will go by the area.
You will also find yourself standing in between 2 of Pasir Ris's main shopping hub. the Downtown East & White Sands mall. both of which can get VERY crowded esp on peak periods and weekends. Where Downtown East is situated, there is a nice fun looking waterpark for families to enjoy, a cinema, Karaoke, bowling alley, BBQ lodges and chalets for group hangouts.
Just around the corner, one will see a lil park connector bicycle rental as well. I highly recommend you grab yourself one, and cycle all along this road as you attempt to pick up the rest of the Pasir Ris hidden caches... There are several!!! It will prove to be a very beautiful and productive cycle if the weather is right.
Facing White Sands, the Pasir Ris MRT interchange station and the Pasir Ris main bus port, you will also see a Pasir Ris Recreational centre. Young ones and the very active can often be seen playing tennis, squash, swimming, taking Tae Kwan Do, Tai Chi, Step dancing etc etc... you get the idea... It is generally an active hub for almost any kind of sport or extra curricular activities. And yes, despite all that healthy living, one never fails to see the 2 Golden Arches shining brightly and welcoming you for a Happy Meal ;-)
Last but not least, the Fishing pond, Childrens playground & Fisher Tavern Seafood outdoor eating place. Those 3 almost connected to all of the above, is situated just about 100m away from the cache as well.
