I grew up in the time when Captain Planet was on TV. Remember him? I still recall that episode when he took a garbage car and emptied it to show that if we collect the garbage separately, the trash quantity reduces significantly. If we put paper waste in the paper bin, plastic at the plastic bin and so on...
The other aspect of recycling that I love the most is actually doing it! Giving new use to something that was trashed, things that can no longer serve their original purpose. Like making Christmas tree decorations out of burned light bulbs and many more other ideas you can find online or ideas that you come up with yourself.
In geocaching we do recycle and reuse, and I love it! The film canisters, the ammo boxes, tupperware - they were all created for other things but we use them for geocaching. Besides these classic containers, people are very creative and I am sure you have all seen caches that were once a paint bucket or a yogurt bucket, or containers made out of recycled wood and many many other ideas (don't wanna give spoilers, but I once foud a toilet used as a geocache :D). My first hidden cache was on the same idea of recycling. And I am not done yet!
Basically, the possibilities are infinite!
Well, this night cache is made entirely out of recycled (re-purposed) materials. And I do mean the real kind of recycling, since I did not buy materials, I just reused, re-purposed some junk...
I hope you will like it!
The cache is hidden near the scout camp in Ullerslev and crosses some harsh terrain. Please remember to bring boots or else get wet / dirty. You do not need to and you must not cross any kind of water so you can leave the waders at home.
Instructions:
- Yellow reflector -path to follow
- RED reflector - Ground Zero
- White reflector - wonder why?
Be very careful for hidden hints or else you might log a DNF.
For the sake of fair play and for the fun of the game, DO NOT use excessive force or any tools to get the container opened!
Enjoy the hunt!
