First secret place Traditional Cache

Coach Dr leads onto a small rest area in the middle of the Waikereo Walkway/Daisy Hardwick Walkways.

It's a lovely spot to rest and have lunch etc.

This is my first cache. I chose this spot as I spent a lot of time enjoying this area when I was a few years younger.

I ride this cycle trail often so can keep an eye on the spot regularly.

I decided to make this a pretty simple find. I hope the GPS locations are accurate enough but will update if not.

As a bit of an experiment, I have included a poem I wrote about this very spot a number of years ago.

Please share your thoughts as to whether I should continue adding poems to my caches. Feedback is important.

Secret Places

I see all our secret places,

Fading at the edges.

No one seems to go there anymore.

I hear all the same old phrases.

That no one ever changes.

Like words carved in stone.
