Geocache Description:

Should be a fairly quick find for you, but only during daylight hours.

Recycling is not a new concept to our society, although the hows and whys have changed over the years.

My grandparents lived throught the great depression, and they saved EVERYTHING.   If there was even a hint of a use left in something, it was worth saving.   Things were repurposed, reconditioned, regifted.   By the time they threw something out, it deserved it.

Now days, recycling more takes the form of sending glass, plastics, paper, and metals back to facilities so they can be remade into something else.   "Post-Consumer content" is a huge phrase these days.

I would say this shows a shift from the "getting the most bang for your buck" to attempting to lessen the impact of consumerism on our landfills, and our enviorment.

This cache is an exercise in recycling in a few ways.    The container and log book are recycled (or scavenged) from previous hides.   The hide''s concept and rough location are recycled from a previous cache.   And as a bonus, if you try for the FTF, you might witness a whole bunch of recycling going on.   Could be fun!

The cache is located inside Leila Arboretum. It's an open park with no entry fee, but it is only open during the daylight hours. Seeking this cache in the dark could end with you having a LEO encounter...
