Are you ready? The trash is ready, and it needs YOU to pick it up!!!!
Come on over -- once again, it's time to get our hands dirty, log a smiley, and help out the Topeka community!!!!
What: Topeka's 3rd Annual CITO/Keep America Beautiful Event
When: Saturday, April 25, 2015
Time: 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Where: The Shunga Trail, from the event coordinates up the trail north and east to 21st and Buchanan Street.
What to bring: Your work or caching gloves, a pointy stick or grabbers, and a desire to have fun. Trash bags will be provided at the event.
April 25th and 26th is Groundspeak's annual CITO Weekend. We'll do our part in the capital city by clearing litter from the Shunga Trail.
As in past years, attendees will automatically be participating in the annual Keep America Beautiful "Get Down and Get Dirty" event. Keep America Beautiful will provide a free lunch to attendees and will host a drawing for some really nice prizes at the Gage Park amphitheater at noon.
Please bring your trash bags to the collection area near the amphitheater so the trash can be weighed. Last year over 1,600 volunteers helped clean up several tons of trash in the Topeka area, and this year we expect even more people to help out.
See you there!
