Mystique
Mystique (Raven Darkhölme) is a fictional character who appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, as well as in a number of movie, television, and video game adaptations, typically in fiction related to the X-Men. Created by artist David Cockrum and writer Chris Claremont, she first appeared in the comic book Ms. Marvel #16, published in 1978.
Mystique is a member of a fictional subspecies of humanity known as "mutants", who are born with superhuman abilities. Mystique is a shapeshifter who can mimic the appearance and voice of any person with exquisite precision. She is typically a villain and foe of the X-Men.
The X-Men
The X-Men are a fictional team of superheroes that appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The X-Men were created by writer-plotter Stan Lee and artist-plotter Jack Kirby, and were first published in 1963.
The X-Men are "mutants", a subspecies of humans who are born with superhuman abilities. They fight for peace and equality between normal humans and mutants in a world where antimutant bigotry is fierce and widespread.
