Sadly and for some unknown reason, someone is locking the gates from time to time preventing access to where the original cache is hidden. In order not to disappoint Geocachers visiting the site we have placed an additional cache outside of the fenced area. So now everyone should be able to log this one.
According to the official description: Polemi Concentration Camp was one of eight that the British operated in Cyprus during the Freedom Fight against colonial rule in the years 1955-1959. It operated for 102 days and became notorious for the horrific and inhumane conditions suffered by the detainees. It is an important part of the history of Cyprus so it seems a shame that the flag flying is that of Greece and not Cyprus.
