The National Trust (NT) are very positive supporters of geocaching especially here in Cornwall.
The local ranger for NT in South East cornwall has asked us again to give him a hand doing some upkeep such as clearing/pruning undergrowth in Ethy Woods. We had a great time last year bashing holly and opening up the ground below the tree cover to allow more appropriate plants to develop.
The headline coordinates are for the Lerryn Car Park and we have arranged to meet at 10 am on the Sunday morning. We will then walk the short distance around to Ethy Woods. The plan is to work from 10 am to 4 pm but anyone willing to help out for part of that time will be most welcome. Those who have not already done so will have an opportunity to grab the 5 Ethy Woods Ramble Caches - I will add one more to be published on the day just to tantalise!!
Please bring weather appropriate clothing, a packed lunch and gardening gloves if you have them. Any tools and equipment will be provided by Rob, the NT Ranger.
This is an opportunity to support the National Trust and to pay them back for their support in allowing us to place our caches on their land all over Cornwall.
Please come along and give a hand to support caching in the community and help the local environment in this very pretty corner of Cornwall.
