Geocache Description:

A series of 9 caches around the Leicestershire village of Gilmorton.

I was originally going to call this series ‘Gilmorton Circular’ but, looking at the route, it’s not really that circular! Therefore, the route is ‘Gilmorton Shapeular’ because I couldn’t discern a recognisable shape from the map. EDIT: I now realise that "Gilmorton Shapeular" is a really stupid name but oh well haha it's lasted this long (27/02/16)

The route is approximately 1.8 miles long and follows footpaths and small stretches of road. Providing you don’t spend an age at each cache (which you shouldn’t need to!), it should take you between 1 and 1 ½ hours to complete. Some parts of the footpaths can get very muddy at times; the terrain ratings of all caches represent a DRY, NON-MUDDY environment - you have been warned! There are nine caches of all shapes and sizes. There are a couple of gaps in the trail because of existing caches – these could be done as extras without detouring too far off the series. Parking is available on most streets in the village. Most caches do not contain a pencil so you will need your own writing implement. The footpaths are very popular with dog walkers and their usual inexplicably curious entourage so you may have to be slightly stealthy at times. Please be careful with young children when crossing roads – you will have to do so three times during the series.

#1 is a small novelty container that contains only the log. From here, follow the waymarkers to the adjacent corner. From there, follow the edge of the field round to the left where you will find #2.

Congratulations to Bazhornet for FTF

Happy Hunting!
