Behind The Crumbling Tower Traditional Cache

This cache is located off the beaten trail but still easy to find. The main trail can be heavy with muggles, but this is stashed out of view so no need to worry about the loot being compromised. However, it does require venturing fairly far off of the main trail.

Encinitas Ranch is a beautiful community of upper middle class families bordering the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course. There are several ways to get to this trail, but I recommend starting in Encinitas Ranch so you don't have to make the potentially dangerous trip across Garden View road. 

While hiking, you can see the community of San Elijo Hills and the mountains of San Marcos to the east and Carlsbad to the north.

There are some nice rest spots and breezy lookout spots on this trail but be sure to bring water as it can get hot in the summertime.

 The cache is hidden just off a secondary trail under a square piece of wood at the base of a bush.
