Kickham Street, Mullinahone, County Tipperary.
A lot of people will not know that the monster truck we all love and cherish had it's humble beginnings right here in Mullinahone. It was in the nineteen eigthies when a farmer had a tractor in town to get new tyres.
The rear tyres were taken off and changed first. The tractor was pointing out of the garage all ready to go. A new lad at the garage for some reason thought the tyres were not done and proceeded to place a set of large tyres on the front of the tractor.
The owner, Bob Chandler, saw this and thought he could be on to something. He painted the tyres pink, called his tractor Bigfoot and the rest is history. Bob moved to America where it became very successful. These tyres were left behind in this arrangement to celebrate America's 27th favourite past-time.
