I have some dear friends, Mary and Gary, who once lived by me in Wisconsin. A few years back they became snowbirds and before long, they movd away for good. My friends needed some cheering up, so I booked myself a flight to see them for a few days. I could use a break from the loooooong Wisconsin winter anyhow.
It will be a short trip but we plan to take in a few adventures, which includes some geocaching. When I mentioned my thoughts on having an event, Mary was excited and has been encouraging me to put a little event together. I have done this in my town several times, I can do this on vacation. Mary picked this spot out and it sounds good to me!
What really got me thinking seriously about this was something that happened just last week. A cacher from AZ retrieved a gecoin of mine from a forcably archived cache near the Mesa area. I received a very nice note explaining how it was rescued. After a few emails back and forth, I thought, maybe I should do an event and maybe... this will bring the coin rescuer to town for a visit! I would love to meet her... well and any cachers for that fact. I just love talking adventures and geocaching!
Hope you can stop by to sign my one of a kind log! A paper log is boring. :)
