Churchill Caches #1 Churchill's house Traditional Cache

THE GEOCACHE NEEDS MAINTENANCE. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. This is part of a series of Caches near to Hyde Park. I would like to thank Baxter754 for helping me set this up as this is my first cache! Also, the rest of the series is coming as soon!  

This series of Caches commemorates the day-to-day life of Sir Winston Churchill. Born on the 30th of November 1874, he is most famous for his inspiring speeches as prime minister in the Second World War, including the famous "We will fight on the beaches" speech.[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkTw3_PmKtc] He played a vital role in the defeating of the Nazis, helping stratagise many battles, such as D-Day and the Battle of Britain. 

Here are some facts about the great man:

1. He was made a member of the Conservative party for Oldham in 1900

2. He worked hard in over-seas relations during the war making allies in Soviet Russia and the USA

3. He was voted out of being Prime Minister, but, managed to come back in 1951

4. During his lifetime he was published many times and was awarded a Nobel Prize for literature

5. Although, he resigned from being a prime minister in 1955, he still stayed and MP untill close to his death
