East Caltech Olive Garden Traditional Cache

A plastic canister, log only, BYOP. Please replace it as you found it, as much as possible.

This cache pays tribute to two great Caltech Institutions, neither of which is Olive Garden: the Athenaeum, Caltech's faculty and associates club, founded in 1929 with a gift of stock that was cashed out just before the great crash and then built in grand Mediterranean style (though it looks better from the west or south sides) (see athenaeumcaltech.com); and the Caltech Olive Festival (see olives.caltech.edu), a harvest and oil pressing event held annually from 2005 through 2012 and now, perhaps, sadly defunct.
