I can highly recommend the booklet “The Three Lochs Way” which is available at various Visitors’ Centres, from accommodation providers or online on their website. It has detailed and helpful information about distances, waypoints and coordinates as well as background information on the various points of interest.
*** If you're parking at the given coordinates, the roundtrip will be about 4.3 km. The path can mostly be done with a mountain bike, but is not suitable for buggies/strollers.
*** If you're planning to hike/cycle the entire stage 3 from Garelochhead to Arrochar, please be aware that it is 20.5km/12.7miles and will take about 4.5 - 5 hours.
*** The last 30metres are off the path.
The cache:
Please: NO spoiler photos of the cache container in your log
Please: be careful with the container and close the lid properly
To find this cache, you first need to collect the other six caches along this part of the TLW. Each container has a letter/number for the final co-ordinates.

Swappables:
There are enough decent items for at least the first dozen finds. Please remember, if you take something, replace it with something of equal or greater value. If you don’t have anything suitable, don’t take anything out of the cache – just sign the log.
What are swappables? Marbles, rubbers, keyrings, coloring pencils, Kids' meals toys, play cars, badges, dice, stickers, bracelets, pendants, fashion jewellery, etc
What are NOT swappables? Coins, food (chewing gums, sweeties), pine cones, leaves, stones, twigs, wrappers, condoms, business cards, etc
FTF prize:
We have a very special prize for FTF, however for technical reasons we can’t place it in the cache. To claim your prize, you must be able to collect in Helensburgh any day 9am-9pm. Take a photo of the log book showing your FTF entry and then contact us using the link on this page.
