CCARS15 - Clean-Up/Wrap-Up Cache In Trash Out® Event

The CCARS15 Clean-Up/Wrap-up event will be a fun, light-hearted gathering at 11:00 am. A free picnic lunch with plenty of food for everyone after a CITO! Come drag your road-weary bodies over the line and past the chequered flag!

We always CITO-as-we-go during Cache and Release and Fish Creek Park is one of our favourite city parks, so we'll wrap-up our cleaning here and celebrate with a picnic lunch afterwards! We'll have food for vegetarians and meat-lovers alike, as well as CCAKE! Please come hungry!

The event starts at 11:00am and will be held come rain or shine, so dress as if you live in Calgary! Food will be served after 12-noon, giving us an hour to clean the park first.

We will meet at the Picnic Site nearest to the parking lot at Votiers Flats. We'll have clean-up kits for those who need them and a map of suggested cleaning spots.

There are tables and benches for the picnic here, but you may also wish to bring your own chair. This wrap-up portion of the event celebrates the end of the road rally of CCARS15 and we hope that you will socialize with your fellow asphalt avengers. Whether you bring a chair or not, we encourage you to move around. This would be an excellent time to compare notes on the caches you have found and to discuss must-see caches that you have yet to encounter.

Whether you've brought garbage with you from your weekend rambles or not, we encourage you to take a moment to clean-up any trash found within Fish Creek Park We will collect all bags of garbage picked up at the park and on the road. If you have collected garbage during the CCARS15 weekend, please bring those with you as we will drop all bags into the dumpster in the parking lot here. There will be bags, gloves and hand sanitizer available.

We'll have a group photograph (with the pile of garbage) at 1:30 pm and that will signify the end of the event. We've opted for a shorter day on Sunday thus freeing up more of your afternoon for whatever other strange activities you fill your lives with!

If you participated in CCARS15 by hiding a cache and/or finding a cache and/or attending this event, you are invited to log an “Attended” log for it! Thank you!
