Wedderburn Community Centre

****** GZ is in the grounds of what was once Wedderburn Primary School No. 794. This beautiful building was built in 1868 and was in use until 1999 when the students were moved to the present school in Hospital Street. At present it is used as a Community and Information Center, where the old classrooms are put to use for meetings, a gymnasium and various educational courses. In the grounds, you will find a reproduction of a Settlers Cottage which has been built by local unemployed men as a work experience project.
When you have completed your find, we urge you to go into our brand new Information Centre, where you will be expected, for a chat and a look round. We think you'll be impressed.
There is also much information to be had of the area, in the form of pamphlets, maps,etc. and while you are there, grab a fridge magnet.
****** GZ will reveal a regular size container, with a logbook, swaps for the kids and a pen. As the old playground is bitumised and flat, we consider that this as a Wheelchair Friendly cache.
