Looks like the suburban sprawl got yet another piece of the Texas prairie. From this cache looking towards the Kroger Fuel Center you will see the sole survivors the tree and half of the power poll. Gone forever is the picturesque windmill, and beautiful sunrises over the fields.
Then - This picture below shows how it looked at sunrise when I photographed it in December of 2001 right after they extended Josey to Highway 121.
Now – Here sadly (sniff sniff) here is the view today from almost the same location. Had to relocate the cache due to construction at the original GZ . GEZ that suburban sprawl yet again. The brave little tree is also gone now. RIP
