Geocache Description:

View the Eclipse over Sussex

South Downs Way - Ditchling Beacon

20 March 2015

08:30 till 10:40

The area chosen for the meet is approximately a 10 minute walk (0.5 mile) from the car park, is one of the highest areas on the South Downs, and has been chosen as a good place to chat with other cachers and to witness any changes to the landscape that the partial eclipse may cause

From the meeting co-ordinates some of the landmarks that can be seen include:-

The English Channel off the Sussex coast.

Cliffs at Seaford Head.

Cliffs at Sevens Sisters

The Amex Stadium

Firle Beacon

The Sussex Weald

The North Downs

Planes taking off and approaching Gatwick Airport (I wonder if Mattd2k is aviating thiws morning?)

and I am sure you can identify many more.
