Quiero dedicar estos SEIS pequeños geocachés que componen esta serie a rendir un pequeño y sentido homenaje al pueblo que en 2007 me recibió con los brazos abiertos, y del cual me siento uno más desde entonces.
FORMENTERA DEL SEGURA
(ALICANTE)
Formentera del Segura es un pequeño municipio (4,3 kms2 de extensión) ubicado en plena huerta tradicional de la Vega Baja y localizado en la margen izquierda del Río Segura a tan sólo 10 kilómetros de su desembocadura en Guardamar del Segura.
De origen islámico, fue señorío de Juan de Portugal (1357-1433), pasó en el siglo XIII a Jaime de Aragón. Durante siglos fue pasando, como venta, herencia o donación, por las manos de diferentes señores y nobles, hasta que terminó por último siendo propiedad del Marqués de Algorfa, el cual la cedió a su hijo Nicolás y éste, apoyándose en la ley Alfonsina, fundó el pueblo de Formentera del Segura. Así, se puede considerar que, históricamente, la población de Formentera nace en 1731 al amparo del privilegio alfonsino y a través de D. Nicolás Pérez de Sarrió, Señor de Formentera. El lugar perteneció a Orihuela, hasta el siglo XVI a partir del cual se hizo independiente de dicha ciudad. Tras los terremotos de 1829 que asolaron la Vega Baja, Formentera del Segura padeció una lenta reconstrucción, finalizada con la edificación de la iglesia parroquial en 1840.
Sin embargo, el 6 de noviembre de 1987, de madrugada, el rio Segura se desborda a su paso por Orihuela anegando toda la Vega Baja, y también, como no, a Formentera. A partir de ese momento se inicia el largo proceso de reconstrucción y modernización que da como resultado el actual casco urbano. En él se ha asentado una importante población de ciudadanos extranjeros que constituyen en la actualidad casi el 40% del censo de habitantes. A raiz de aquella inundación se procedió a desviar el cauce del rio, estableciendo su actual configuración, con la construcción de toda la Mota del rio, cuya función es prevenir estos posibles desastres naturales. Y a la vez que se hacía, se ha acondicionado una isla central como zona recreativa y de ocio que acoge la Hermita de San Roque, con zonas de barbacoas y area de descanso, asi como escenario para espectáculos.

FORMENTERA DEL SEGURA

Formentera del Segura is a small municipality (4.3 km2 in area) located in full traditional orchard of Vega Baja and located on the left bank of the River Segura just 10 kilometers from its mouth in Guardamar del Segura.

EL CACHÉ
LAS COORDENADAS INICIALES CORRESPONDEN A UNA ZONA DE PARKING CERCANA AL PUNTO DONDE ENCONTRAREMOS LAS PRIMERAS VARIABLES. lLEVAR PAPEL, LAPIZ Y CALCULADORA, Y BEBED CON RESPONSABILIDAD.
VARIABLE "A". Cerca de la zona de parking, encontramos una zona infantil de juegos en forma ovalada, en la que podemos ver unos bancos de hormigón. La variable "A" es EL NUMERO DE BANCOS DE ESE TIPO QUE HAY DENTRO DEL OVALO DE ARENA DE LA ZONA INFANTIL.
VARIABLE "B" Justo frente a la zona infantil, encontramos hasta tres pubs y bares, muy frecuentados por la población extranjera de la zona. Uno de ellos tiene por nombre el de un Parque Natural de las Islas Canarias. La variable "b" es el LAS LETRAS DEL NOMBRE DEL PUB, PASADAS A TECLADO DE TELEFONO MOVIL ANTIGUO, SUMADAS Y REDUCIDAS A UNA CIFRA Y RESTANDO 1. (Ejemplo: 5+4+7+1+7+6+4 = 34 3+4 = 7, Y 7-1=6 por tanto la cifra seria 6)
VARIABLE "C" Encaminamos nuestros pasos hacia el centro de la población pasando por una calle donde encontramos dos nuevos locales uno frente a otro. Uno de ellos, con nombre ingles, hace referencia en ese idioma a algo muy dulce. La variable "C" es EL NUMERO DE letras que en ingles tiene el nombre de ese bar excluyendo la palabra bar, solo el nombre y x2. sin reducir.
VARIABLE "D" No lejos del punto anterior, y próximo al nuevo edificio de la Biblioteca Municipal encontramos uno de los bares mas tradicionales de este pueblo, "El Trasgu", frecuentado por los lugareños para disfrutar de un almuerzo, en especial con un caldo de cocido de pelotas en los dias de lluvia del invierno. Este bar dispone de una terraza exterior techada mediante unas vigas de madera. La variable "D· es EL NUMERO DE VIGAS TRANSVERSALES QUE FORMAN EL TECHO DE LA TERRAZA EXTERIOR DE "EL TRASGU" , SIN REDUCIR
VARIABLE "E" Continuamos hacia el centro mismo del pueblo, hasta llegar a la Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Alli, esquinado, hay un pequeño bar que es el favorito de los lugareños para echar las clásicas partidas de dominó despues de comer. La variable "E" es EL NUMERO DE LETRAS DEL NOMBRE DE DICHO BAR.
VARIABLE "F" Atravesando la plaza y encaminandonos hacia el oeste del pueblo, nos encontramos con el mas reputado de los Restaurantes del pueblo: "El Pantano". Este local durante el verano anima las noches con actuaciones musicales y baile en el patio interior donde se instala la barbacoa. La variable "F" es EL NUMERO DE FAROLES QUE ADORNAN EL PATIO INTERIOR DE "EL PANTANO" (son visibles desde el exterior)
VARIABLE "G" Continuando por esa calle llegamos a la Avenida de la Constitución, donde, junto al hermano pequeño de "El Pantano", a 30 metros encontramos un nuevo bar restaurante CON NOMBRE DE FIERO ANIMAL, cuyo punto fuerte son las comidas del menú de medio dia, parada de mucha gente que hace un alto en su trabajo para reponer fuerzas en este local. El actual es el sucesor del primitivo, del mismo nombre, que se encontraba en otro punto del pueblo. La variable "G" es EL NOMRE DEL ANIMAL DEL RESTAURANTE, PASADA A NUMEROS CON TECLADO DE MOVIL ANTIGUO, SIN REDUCIR.
VARIABLE "H" Sin movernos de este lugar, en la placa del nombre del bar cuyo nombre corresponde a un fiero animal, figura el año de fundación del mismo. La variable "H" es EL ULTIMO NUMERO DE LA DERECHA DE LA CIFRA DEL AÑO DE FUNDACION DEL RESTAURANTE (.
VARIABLE "I" Malas noticias... tenemos que cruzar el pueblo hacia el rio (podeis aprovechar para hacer alguno de los cachés de esta serie si aun los teneis pendientes). Nos vamos a dirigier al centro de operaciones cerveceras de los extranjeros, especialmente ingleses que se han establecido en el pueblo: el Sunley´s, sin duda el mas tipico Pub ingles de la zona, donde tomar unas buenas pintas y donde cada noche se reunen a realizar diferentes actividades y juegos (quiz, trivial, bingos..). Tambien instalan una curiosa biblioteca de intercambio de titulos en ingles, muy recomendable. De vez en cuando hay alguna exposición pictórica o fotográfica. El sitio ademas es muy tranquilo e invita a saciar la sed, que llevareis casi una hora andando.. La variable "I" es EL NUMERO DE FAROLES QUE ADORNAN E ILUMINAN LA FACHADA DEL PUB.

VARIABLE "A". Near the parking area, we found a children playground in oval, where we can see some concrete benches. The variable "A" is THE NUMBER OF BANKS OF SUCH THAT THERE IN THE OVAL OF ARENA OF CHILDREN'S AREA.

VARIABLE "D" Not far from the previous point, and close to the new building of the Municipal Library are one of the most traditional bars in this town, "El Trasgu", frequented by locals to enjoy lunch, especially with a broth balls cooked in rainy days of winter.
