V&CC Traditional Cache
Goddess of Wisdom: Our local middle school was partially under water during the epic flooding that occurred at the end of June. It has been decided that since the school is in a flood zone, it is going to be replaced. Starting tomorrow, the middle school students are going to attend classes in the Convention Center until portable modular classrooms are installed at another location. Since classes are going to be held at the Convention Center for 3+ months until the temporary classrooms are completed - and caches are not permitted on public school property - I have decided to archive this hide. Once the students are moved to the new location, I will put out another cache nearby.

A family-friendly cache located near the place where a lot of fun events take place in the community of Summersville, WV.
Due to the configuration of the area and a gate that is usually closed, you won't be able to drive right up to the cache. Instead, you will have to park and make a short walk over to ground zero. You can start your search from either the upper or lower parking lots. From the upper lot, it is a pretty level walk over to the hiding place. If you go from the lower lot, the way is a little bit shorter, but you will have to hike up a steep bank.
The cache is a 2" x 7" oblong container that holds a few small trade items (a glass "gem", 2 game tokens, 2 foreign coins, a creepy hand, 2 marbles, a plastic skeleton, fun eraser, toy ring & a toy dinosaur), a log sheet and a pen.
If you have time after finding the cache, check out what is going on in the building. You can also get more information on the area in the visitor's center if it is open. Enjoy the cache and your visit to Nicholas County and Summersville!
