Also, the Bearii Township developed a nice little public park, with many locals chipping in to look after the grounds, plant trees and have the usual working bees that small communities are so good at. The park has a small playground, a community hall, CFA shed, rough sports ground, lawn tennis courts, public toilets, including wheelchair accessible and some arty totem poles that were painted by the local kids about 18 years ago. The park is a lovely little oasis sitting in the middle of farmland and small blocks; its a nice spot to enjoy a picnic or perhaps break a long drive, and is only a few minutes off the Murray Valley Highway. If you are observant you might notice the Eiffel Tower nearby and a straw bale house opposite the park (big green roof and mud covered walls!

While you are here in Bearii, you might like to explore a bit more and find some other caches in the area and perhaps (flooding and road conditions allowing) go down and see the River Murray. Be mindful of snakes, especially when we have the warmer weather with us!
