It's Pi Day. Yes, I know that the date is all Americanised and stuff, but let's not let this get in the way of the opportunity to have an event with a twist and a bit of fun, eh?
This is how it works:-
Pi is 3.141592653
So on March(3) 14th (20)15 at (0)9 26 and 53 seconds Pi (sort of - and if you are American) matches the date and time.
This event is on 14th March 2015 at 09.26 and 53 seconds. It won't take long. If you turn up at 09.30 we will probably all be gone and you will be Billy No Mates.
The number π is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159 (Wrongipedia).
So this is the way the event works. Turn up. Be ready for the signal (it will be obvious), phlan in hand (you may want to leave it's preparation until the last possible moment). On the signal, phlanning will begin (please ensure that this is someone else who has a phlan in hand since members of the public will be unsuspecting and we don't want anyone arrested for assault). If you are there with a phlan in hand you are likely to receive a phace phull back, please don't complain. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.......
NO pies made in phancy Phrench cast iron dishes please. The standard pie in the phace pie comes on a PAPER plate and is made from shaving foam. Just a note about logging this event. It is not a requirement that there is a log book, and with this being a very short phlash mob event, there will be no opportunity to have a log book signing ceremony. It would be helpful (but not mandatory) if you would write your caching name on the bottom of your PAPER plate. Paper plates and any other debris will be collected by an assistant Phantom Phlanner. PLEASE log your intention to attend before the event to help me out. As cache owner, the onus is on me to ensure that cachers claiming this event have actually been there. In the spirit of the event, please don't claim it if you aren't there.
