Welcome to Chiltern and take the opportunity to learn more about our town and the story of Chiltern's first school with this cache. The CO is currently a teacher at this amazing school and is looking forward to watching cachers come for a visit. (So is the class who will know about it)
The first school in Chiltern was a old timber building on the Old Melbourne Rd. This was a Catholic school and catholic education has continued in the township of Chiltern up to the present day. When you arrive you will see in front of you the 100 year old school building and an information board that gives you the history of the school. You will need to read this board to find the location of the cache. Feel free to enjoy some of the great stories that have been part of the history of the school by having a good read of the board and enjoying the photos that you can see.
The final cache (GZ) is located at S 36° 08.ABC E 146° 36.DEF
A= The present circular church was built in 196A?
B= The Presentation Sisters relied on B-pence a week school money?

E= In the inspectors report, how many girls were away on the day of the visit?

I would recommend visiting this cache in Spring as the location of the GZ takes on some amazing changes throughout the year but Spring is the highlight and a big thanks to Bingley3683 for getting me caching in spring and discovering an amazing part of our town.
Be aware this is a working school with dropoffs and pickups at usual school time. You are likely to be muggled during this time so I would recommend choosing a different time.
Please be gentle with the cache container. I had big plans for it and hopefully I can keep it in a decent condition for a while.
