One thing that simple puzzles have in common with harder puzzles, is that moment when you can finally see the answer in front of you. With some of the more complex puzzles, this can take a long time - days, weeks, months, years sometimes. This is a simple puzzle and should not take that long.
I have my own list of things to look closely at when encountering a puzzle:
- Difficulty/terrain rating, Inventory (trackables), Bookmark lists, Additional waypoints, Cache owner, Encrypted hints, Cache name
If I don't see anything, I also look for:
- Attributes, Bonus information, Container size, Alpha-numeric encoding, Bold text, Invisible text, Embedded comments, Html code
With both harder puzzles, and simple puzzles, there's not much difference in the end. Once you get it, the reaction is the same - Why didn't I see that before? |
