The track starts off on the main Farm Road and is a challenging 2.5km track which is almost entirely uphill the whole way, without ever being particularly steep. Blue poles are placed along the track for you to follow and there is also signage along the way. The track will lead you past many other geocaches and will provide stunning views of the farm and it's surrounds the whole way.
The signage indicates to allow 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach the rocks but reasonably fit people may find it takes considerably less time. We made the journey up in about an hour. The final part of the track from the Ti Kouka tree to the Rocks is signed as taking 1 hour but we took only 25 minutes at a fairly leisurely pace.
As stated, this is a decently challenging walk and visitors should equip themselves accordingly. There is a 300m rise in altitude and it will almost certainly be colder up near the rocks than at the start of the track.
We have placed the cache a short distance from the rocks themselves. The cache is a 200ml sistema container containing a logbook and a pencil.
