In rural South Oxfordshire, the village of Checkendon is a picturesque place to visit. It is positioned in the Chiltern beech woods where the hills descend through open farmland to the Thames Valley.
This walk takes you from the village of Checkendon, out through the beech woods, passing the equestrian centre and returning to the village.
It is approximately 4 miles and you will see horse. Please note that you have to cross a field of horses from number 3 to reach the lane to number 4.
