In rural South Oxfordshire, the village of Checkendon is a picturesque place to visit. It is positioned in the Chiltern beech woods where the hills descend through open farmland to the Thames Valley.
This walk takes you from the village of Checkendon, out through the beech woods, passing the equestrian centre and returning to the village.
It is approximately 4 miles and you should see horses. There were also sheep here when we first did the walk.
