佐久市街の、成田山薬師寺に「ぴんころ地蔵」というお地蔵様があります。
ユニークな名前のお地蔵さんは、高さ約１ｍ、直径約６０ｃｍで、２００３年（平成１５年）９月に建立されました。
お地蔵さんの名前は、健康のまま天寿を全うする意味の“健康で長生きし（ぴんぴん）寝込まず楽に大往生する（ころ）”から命名されました。
今では健康・長寿のシンボルとなっています。

Name of Jizo, has been named from the meaning that fulfill a natural death remains healthy "live long and healthy (PinPin) effortlessly to death (Koro)".
Now it has become a symbol of health and longevity.
